Croydon August gig
brights lights flash
on heavy-duty
street action
flat drone
of road-roller
some whiney band
from Manchester
called (if I recall)
The Smears
road-drill
an ex-girlfriend
digging for trouble
bleep of
reversing vehicles
the intensive-care
life-signs
of this poem
faltering
flat-lining.
