fellow feeling

Camberwell Circle

shuffling temptations
in a rustling, whispering shop
weighing verse by inner ear

clamour from Madrid
Sevillean sirens
(are bards in flocks?)

itch to purchase
now outflanked
by rival urges

bar, table, notebook
yet more scribble
not quite what they wanted.
